why study?

P0sted by yahiko25 at 07:09 PM 0n June 25, 2004.

i got this from my teacher. and she got it from the oxford school thing. it has a point. really.

The more I study
The more I know
The more I know
The more I forget
The more I forget
The less I know
So why study?

...exactly why studying is pointless :D so...its more on understanding why study if you dont understand...?

hi! I\'m a friend of eryka and I saw your link in her blog.

That might have some point, but here\'s my opinion about it. Why do we study? We won\'t be using the periodic table in our office. We won\'t be using biology in corporate companies. But why do we study them? It\'s because how we learn those lessons is what we actually learn. School is a mind-honing experience. How we learn valence electrons of chemistry can help us learn how to be the big people of the corporate world.

Haha I\'m not relating to your post am I? *laughs* Okay, going to your post. The more we know the more we forget. That is true since what we learned in our pre-school and elementary days have evolved into a newer and better form. When you were in grade school, you say \"to change the minds of people\", but when you grow older you use the word \"manipulating the minds of people\". It has evolved. Your learning has evolved. And it\'s not true that the more you forget, the less you know. The only reason it becomes like that, because you are already comfortable with the intelligence you have. You will eventually omit some stuffs you\'ve learn in the past since it\'s not that really needed in your life right now. That\'s why college is more concentrated on certain studies because those are the learnings and knowledge you will use in your career.

Well that\'s all. Hope you understood my comment. Anyways, I like your site. Your posts are just so mind-bobbling. It practises my mind to share my opinions. Hehe
